This light fitting is suitable for use in a bathroom within regulated zone 2 or higher. Zone 2 is the area 60cm away from the edge of the bath or shower tray and 60cm radius from the taps on a sink.This light fitting has an IEC protection class of 2, double insulated.This light has an International Protection Rating of IP44. The first digit gives this light protection against contact and ingress of objects >1 mm in size. The second digit shows a protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of splashing water.This light is fitted with a pull cord switch for off and on control. This light can also be wired to a wall switch, though if the pull cord is set to off the wall switch will have no effect.
